I just got a Raspberry Pi 3 - Model B+ and a Flightaware Pro Stick Plus.

However the pre built image for the Piaware sadly doesn’t boot.

Is there a new version coming that has the latest build at all?

The instructions to burn it to an SD card are the same as for the piaware image.

Get this running then install Piaware on top.

Just flashed with RASPBIAN STRETCH LITE V4.9 which is the latest

I’m not sure what you are looking for, the regular piaware image now works fine for the 3B+ (not the pi4B though).
You can get the piaware image here: PiAware - build your own ADS-B ground station for integration with FlightAware - FlightAware

Current version is 3.7.2: PiAware - ADS-B and MLAT Receiver - FlightAware

If you have pi4B, just get Raspbian Buster Lite: Raspberry Pi OS – Raspberry Pi

After getting that running, which really shouldn’t be hard, install piaware: PiAware - dump1090 ADS-B integration with FlightAware - FlightAware

If that’s too many commands or for some reason doesn’t work for you, you can use this: Bundle install for dump1090fa · wiedehopf/adsb-scripts Wiki · GitHub

(note that you need to sudo apt install piaware afterwards to install the piaware client and then claim your station: PiAware - Claim and Link a Brand New PiAware Ground Station - FlightAware)
