PiAware compatibility

After a long time and some free time, I started to revive my feeder project. I had a raspberry pi setup a long time ago but the memory card broke and never got back into setting everything back up.
When I looked on the website, I see that all new images require a Pi3 and newer. My old one is a Pi2B.
I found an old image (v6) which works on my Pi2B without any issues. However, in my “feeder center” here on FlightAware, I get the message that the feeder has an outdated version installed.

Can I update PiAware to the lastet version? Do I have to? And if so, how? I would just download the image file and write it straight to the SD card or is there an easy way to do it on the device automatically?

Thanks

Latest PiAware image works just fine on my Pi2B.

Used the “https://www.flightaware.com/adsb/piaware/files/piaware-sd-card-8.2.img.zip” via Raspberry Imager as a Custom Image on my RPI2 without any Problems.

thanks a lot guys. I will try the latest release. Maybe the description can be updated that it works as well with RPi2B to avoid confusion and using old outdated software…

Thanks!
