Upgrading my Raspberry Pi from PiAware 6.1 to 8.2

My Raspberry Pi is currently running PiAware version 6.1-bpo9+1.
I want to upgrade it to the new version 8.2 without breaking its stride.
I can get a 32 GB flash card with version 8.2 already installed on it.
Is it as simple as just swapping out the card?
I have well over seventeen hundred consecutive days on my PiAware node.
I do not want to interrupt my continuous streak!
Can anyone advise me on this?

Not quite,
You will need to keep your original feeder-id.

The “streak” is not monitored in realtime. As long as you have a downtime of less than 24 hours, it is not interrupted. You will only see drops on these hours where no data is flowing to FA.

So you would have even time to rebuild the receiver without losing the streak.
Make sure to enter your current Unique ID into the new setup, otherwise it will create a new one and not the existing one.

During setup, you can use the existing number and it will continue.
You will find it in your profile here on Flightaware:

You can enter afterwards in the Piaware config file or using the command line with the command shown on the “advanced” pages:

PiAware - Advanced Configuration Settings - FlightAware

And the information how to do that:
PiAware - Bauen Sie Ihre eigene ADS-B Bodenstation fĂĽr die Integration mit FlightAware - Optionale Schritte - FlightAware
