Nascar Airplanes

Just a wild guess, maybe that is Bill Elliott? No idea his tail number but I know he actively flies and somewhere read within the past few years that he said he has a Conquest. The thing I read he said at one time had a CJ and Bell helicopter but “now” has Conquest and R44 if my memory is correct.

That is the Elliott airplane, now flying the NNS circuit.

N16731 of MWR has not been used for most of this year, but still registered to them. Rob Kauffman has stated he wants their planes sold.
Germain Racing (Tiara Air) sold N77VZ. It is now N109DC.
N43RP is changing to N43RU.
N208GA is changing N501RP.
As well as N79CB, Clint Bowyer owns N9880E, that flew to Darlington.
As well as N545GH, Gene Haas also owns N535GH. Looks like this one is just for Haas Automation though.

Some other Nascar related aircraft:
N609SM of Integrity Sports Marketing, based at SVH.
N500TL of Sponsorship Services Group, Terry Labonte’s company.
N503JM and N127JM of Moretz Marketing (Moe Air), based at SVH.
The 2 current Goodyear Blimps: N2A and N10A
N149EA of Featherlite Trailers.

Both for sale

N110XL and N335XL both make regular Nascar visits. Both registered to Cessna. N335XL is Indycar related. Anyone know who uses these?

N83413 of Atlanta, GA also makes the occasional visit. Anyone know who this is?

I believe Chick Fil A

I think it is Zaxby’s. Related to their Truck Series and occasional Nationwide sponsorships of John Wes Townley. The LLC address comes back to Zaxby’s Franchising.

Upon further review, I believe it is Zaxby’s. The RAB Racing (Robby Benton & Brack Maggard) use a Queen Air out of the same general area (Winder/Athens/Jefferson, GA).

Kevin Harvick flew into KJQF last weekend on N900KD

Looks like a bunch of guys chartered this bird for the trip out to Sonoma. I noticed guys like Kenseth, Biffle, Newman, Truex didn’t take their own planes out to Sonoma…probably a bunch of them on this one.

N930KH and N997EA both based at Elliott Field, GA and owned by Bill and Ernie Elliott.
Ken Schrader uses N474DL.
N751JC owned by JEGS Performance. They run their own ARCA race team.
N149SB is registered to Annett Holdings / TMC Transportation of Iowa. Presumably Michael Annett’s family.
Gene Haas and Ryan Newman own N500NH but it has not appeared at any Nascar races this year.

Still no word on who uses N38KW.
N73DB of MPM Leasing and N954MS of Moss Supply Co are both managed by Jetpool.
N410RE is managed by Integrity Flight Management.
These planes make regular Nascar visits. Anyone know who uses them?

[flight]N139RN[/flight] is Ryan Newman’s plane

That airplane belongs/belonged to Newman-Haas Racing, which had nothing to do with Ryan Newman, or Gene Haas. More like Paul Newman and Carl Haas.

I’m not sure who is using it, but N38KW must be used to shuttle someone’s pit crew because it looks like it travels on the morning of the race and comes back that night.

I strongly suspect it is Germain Racing. This plane appeared right around the time their N77VZ stopped flying the circuit. It maintains very similar itineraries.

Got any ideas why they turned around? flightaware.com/live/flight/BSK8 … /KMHT/KJQF

Petty 43 is now a Astra. It is not registered N43RP…yet. I saw the airplane, and the Petty sticker on the tail, but I forgot the n-number already.

N88MF is becoming N43RP.

Here’s a great article that talks about the flight routine of SHR:

As a side note, it appears that ConSeaAir deals with Nascar teams week to week, from their office at JQF, brokering seats on the 737 charters. They then deal with Miami Air International, who operate the 737’s.

Looks like Matt Kenseth is storing N319VP at JQF now instead of SVH.

N43RU (previously N43RP) has now been sold.

His house on Lake Norman was for sale…he must have moved closed to Concord.
