I suspect that the answer to my problem will be to wait till after Easter and buy the parts and simply make a 4.5V power injector.

The down side is very long delivery, Over 2 months.

(4) This is a DIY Bias-T, if anyone is interested in DIY.
Uses a recycled TV Splitter, a 200pF ceramic capacitor, and an axial inductor or self-made coil.

If you dont have an inductor, dont worry. You can make a DIY inductor by using a wire from an scarp piece of telephone cable or network cable. Larger the dia of coil, and larger the number of turns in the coil, better the performance.
