Nascar Airplanes

anyone know why Jimmie made the change?

anyone know why Jimmie made the change?

Been told but have no proof that he has bought a G-150 that will become N480JJ, and that the Lear 31 is going Bye Bye. Been looking around at new ones and some that were for sale but nothing connecting him to any.

481JJ stopped in STL the other day as JJ was at Gateway International running laps. Too bad I missed him, he was only 65 miles from my home…

Looking forward to seeing the G150 if it happens… Scooter, you always get the beta.

What you were told is correct Scooter99. Be looking for JJ’s new wings early next year. :wink:

Dario has a Eurocopter AS350 which I know he personally flies often to many events. I used to know the reg…if anyone has it let us know!

Most planes should be enroute to 4A7 for the Atlanta race.

The NOTAM is listed here.

I have been told that N503MG and N504MG are being used for parts, and are parked at CLT. Now that N727NK is flying for Rousch it has gone to OSC, presumably for Maintenance. Wonder why the 2 parts planes have not been moved there also.

Dale JR must not be ina need of a helicopter anymore N120TS has been transfered to Lady Alice, or maybe he just gets use of the new boss’s 430 :unamused:

Caught Rick Hendrick’s helicopter after dropping him off at 4A7 for the Atlanta Motor Speedway race.

Well it appears that Carl Edwards got a new airplane. Althought it might take a while to get to each race with this.

Also found the following article on Helicopters and NASCAR. Wonder if it is still financially worth it for Hendrick, Wallace, and Jarrett to fly thier helos to race cities for transport.

I’d say its not as worth it as it was a few years ago when Rockingham had 2 dates and Darlington had 2 dates. I know at the close tracks like Martinsville, Bristol, Charlotte, Rockingham and Darlington the drivers that owned one used to fly home every night after the day’s activities were done at the track.

N507P - Clint Boyer racing is authorized to change to N79CB

Race is @ Phoenix International Raceway this week.

Airports of choice:

Closest to track is Goodyear flightaware.com/live/airport/KGYR/arrivals

8 miles north is Glendale
flightaware.com/live/airport/KGEU/arrivals

Some will use KSDL, KDVT and KPHX.

These will also be the airports used for this year’s Super Bowl.

Get er done…

Found this on N6M

Lear 31 N79BJ has been flying to alot of races and back and forth between DAB and JQF. Reasearched it and found this:

N79BJ Learjet 31A 31-101 (ex N900R/N293SA) 22/03/2007

Ex Real Air Leasing airplane. Must be still associated with “NASCAR” for now. Also a search of the LLC shows the same manager as Real Air Leasing.

I go to Embry-Riddle next to the airport/speedway and have seen N79BJ in and out quite frequently. We had some interesting visits today from a GIV and a GV operating under “TKM44” and “TKM55”, any ideas as to who that could be?

TKM44 = N464ST
TKM55 = N565ST

JM Family Enterprises = Southeastern Toyota Distributors

They also operate three Learjet 45’s

TKM11 = N451ST
TKM22 = N452ST
TKM33 = N453ST

All based at FXE

Back to my earlier comments on the cost effectiveness of flying their personal helicopters to each race:

Wednesday N2RW made a fuel stop at OCF on its way to Homestead. Said we would see it again early next week on the return trip.

Do you know the callsign for TKM?
