FLEXJET vs SOLUTIONS

Can anyone tell me under which circumstances the aircraft in this fleet operate under the FLEXJET call sign versus the SOLUTIONS call sign. The fleet appears to be the same for both, so I’m wondering why the two different ATC calls.

 Does no one really know this answer?

There is a thread about it from December 2013 in the request and idea section of the forum that should answer your question, started by one of their pilots.

Thanks rwb. Not quite on topic, but from the gist it looks like BJS “Solutions” is the part 135 operation, so I guess that makes LXJ “Flexjet” the part 91 (K?) operation.

Same crews, same airplanes. I do hear the pilots mixing up their call signs quite often on ATC.

In 2013 the made a deal with jet solutions for a 2 week 7 city world tour on their challenger 605… I got it from their site… Flexjet.com…if your interested in shelling out that kind of money look it up

This is correct, however Jet Solutions today is no longer used. Flexjet is the call sign for all trips now.
