I took this picture of her in June 2005 parked next to the Seminole Tribe’s GIV (and mellow yellow). He was here to perfrom at a local casino. Last night he did Dad’s weekend show at Washington State Univ. (Sidenote… I saw Bob Hope and his Jetstar there on Dad’s weekend when I was in school).

His wife flies that much more than he does. I’ve flown him on a few occasions.

I usually see these A/C flying to or from the same airport. Is there a race going on in Phoenix?

Does anyone know what Tom Sullivan flies?

Tom Sullivan is the afternoon talk show host on KFBK 1530 AM in Sacramento. He frequently talks about flying and was discussing Sacramento area arrivals and departures on flightaware.com during the second hour of his show on Wednesday 11/22/2006.

You can listen to the show by going to http://www.tomsullivan.com

*In my never ending quest to not burden anyone here, I have once again answered my own question. N35265 is a 2001 Turbo Skylane.

It appears that United uses flight number 9901 for flights that accompany President Bush.

513kts!!!

513 is fast, but it’s still not that fast. I like to look up Citation X’s on eastbound flights, it’s quite impressive. This one is just one such example, 619 at one time, hovering around 600+ knots over the ground in level flight for over an hour. Gotta love that!
Edit: this one topped out at 644 knots! Crikey!

573 kts is roughly the SOUND BARRIER at those altitudes

That’s supersonic!

I see quite a few heavies east bound ( evenings here ) heading out over the Atlantic in the mid 500 knot range. Usually when they are following Jetstream.

eg. 11/29/06 0300 GMT over NL / Canada

UAL908 B763 Flt.level 350 at 519 knots
EIN124 A333 Flt. level 370 at 509 knots
VIR28 B744 Flt. level 390 at 514 knots
