Had some interesting activity at our normally rather quiet airport yesterday afternoon and early evening - 5-6 SWA flights with random flight originations all flew to HDN yesterday afternoon, in rapid succession - but never stopped. As short as SWA is on pilots and flights, this seemed rather odd. We’re familiar to military use of the HDN runway for training touch & goes (mostly heavy transports like C-130 Hercules) as it is quite long due to our altitude, but for commercial flights? Any ideas what was going on?
