Range Rings On Local Feed

I have got Flightaware running on a Raspberry Pi 4B. My I want to alter/add to the Range Rings on the local SkyAware feed.

I have seen suggestions to edit /usr/share/dump1090-fa/html/config.js but this file does not seems to exist.

Thanks

The correct path is /usr/share/skyaware/html/config.js. I think it used to be dump1090-fa but changed a while back.

Since many versions ago, that has been replaced by:

/usr/share/skyaware/html/config.js

Alternate to editing above file, an easier method is as follows:

  1. In your Browser, go to IP-of-Pi/skyaware/ to view the map.

  2. On map at top-right corner click the gear wheel (cog wheel) symbol. A drop-down will appear.

  3. On drop-down click option “Range Rings”

Many thanks for your help.

I edited the config.js file and all is now as I want it.

Again many thanks

Hoping that this thread isn’t dead.

I just reinstalled Skyaware 8.2, and I can’t get Range Rings to show up. Clicking on the gear icon, and then Site Position and Range Rings doesn’t cause the Range Rings fields to appear in the window. I’ve set my position at Flightaware, but this didn’t change anything.

Any thought on how to restore the Range Rings? Do I really need to edit the config.js file?

Thanks.

Nevermind. Just needed to force page update in browser. Sorry for the noise.
