Hello, longtime feeder, first time poster.
I have been getting a lot of off line status issues recently.
I have had a Raspberry Pi 4, 4GB running piaware for the last 5 years.
piaware 10.0.1
I can SSH into the pi and reboot now, sometimes piaware doesn’t go back online. When I hard reboot it comes back online.
I am not sure how to trouble shoot.
My flightaware pro stick is 4 years old. It’s the blue one.
Any tips, advice, personal experience to share about the same situation?
Does the system reboot and are you allowed in again via SSH ?
Or do you need to do the hard reboot to gain access again into the system?
If it is the first option, are you able to show the logs?
sudo journalctl -xe |grep piaware
If it is the 2nd case then your SD card might be reaching the end of it’s life and needs to be replaced.
It is the first option. I can view the log. Ironically it hasn’t went offline since I posted and I don’t see anything in the log that would indicate that it has. If/when it goes offline again I will try to post the log. (I tried to post the current log and it was to many characters. And I am not sure what is pertinent to show so I will try to find something that shows the disconnect.)
Here is an example of offline frequency in the last week.
