Question about Property Taxes

Hi everyone:

I was wondering if folks who own planes in any of these three states,
Utah, Washington, and Nebraska
could let me know whether there is a property tax on their plane (and if so who sets the rate: local government or the state). I have read through the statutes and still rather confused as to whether a tax is paid.

For example, in Washington the property tax is only applied to planes whose owner charges another party for transporting goods or people. I assume this would apply to a charter company but not a firm-owned plane used only by that company. Utah I think has a registration fee only, and I am generally unsure about Nebraska.

BTW I am interested in the treatment of both non-commercial and commercial planes (everything but big air carriers).

Thanks for any help on this!

Sorry to re-awaken an old thread, but I think the old title (Personal Property Tax: Utah, Washington, Nebraska) was so wordy that no one responded.

Anyway, if anyone can tell me if property taxes are owed on planes in any of those three states I would really appreciate it. Thanks!
