PM Other Operators?

On the main ADS-B page, there is a list of other local ADS-B operators. Is there a way to send them private messages?

I run a weather station and send a feed to Their website has such a feature, and it’s nice to have. I don’t use it often, but sometimes there are local conditions that make communicating with local operators a good thing to have.

In the case of ADS-B receivers, I think it would be nice to have the feature in order to compare setups vs. data. We do, of course, have the forums, but not everyone uses the forums.

… or is there already a way to email or PM another flightaware member?

There is a Private Message system attached to discussions. At the top left of the page click on where it says # new messages to access it. It seems to be rarely used; I don’t know how many use it. At the bottom of the discussion entry are buttons to check the submitter’s profile and to send a PM. I will send one to you after posting this.

Thanks! I’ve been looking for that; didn’t realize it was that well hidden! I’ve been looking for a way to contact local PiAware folks to try out filter/amplifier configurations for improving performance.

Thanks for that nugget of info Joel

Sorry for waking an old subject (well, not really  )

when someone sends us a PM, the system emails us - I never saw the emails, but I’ve just found them in Spam

The message says

Why is this message in Spam? It’s in violation of Google’s recommended email sender guidelines. Learn more … entication

Now I can’t see from the mail headers what is wrong, maybe someone else can

Thank you for the information. I have filed a ticket with our development team for their review. I will be in touch when I hear from them.

I tried reaching out to two members near me with paiwares and it tells me these user cannot be found even though I copied their names excatly.
