Originally I posed a simple question and was greeted with hostility regarding as certain aspect of my post. I can handle my own and I didn’t initiate the negativity.

As one of the many people on this forum who enjoys it, I say we don’t take the fun out of it. This forum is actually more like a conversation in real life. We start talking about “A” and then the conversation drifts off to “B,” often with amusement along the way.

Also, by telling us, the users of this forum, to get a life, you are in general saying that all users of this forum don’t have a life…YOURSELF INCLUDED! Amazing how that works…

On the topic of getting off topic while discussing the topic at hand, you find me ONE, just ONE forum that each sub-topic of the main topic for the topic of the forum stays on topic for the entire thread. There will always be side topics to be discussed, such as the accidental FL36000 incident. It went on for a while, and it was fun.

I talk to REAL people for a living. On my last two phone calls, I actually kept track of how many times the conversation changed topics. The first call was for 10 mintues, and there were 6 topics discussed. The second was 27 minutes and we discussed 18 different topics with a smooth transition in between all of them. Those, my friend (oops, now I am name calling) are real conversations.

What you are referring to, by insulting all of us, is more of a courtroom discussion, while, from going over multiple threads, most of us prefer to view this as casual conversation, nothing formal.

I talk to REAL people for a living. On my last two phone calls, I actually kept track of how many times the conversation changed topics. The first call was for 10 mintues, and there were 6 topics discussed. The second was 27 minutes and we discussed 18 different topics with a smooth transition in between all of them. Those, my friend (oops, now I am name calling) are real conversations.

Wolf, how can you say that when you are not even around us?!?! Pika just proved you wrong and so will I. Yesterday, my Father and I were conversing over the topic of success and what makes some people successfull. …For 25 minutes! It would have gone on longer but he had to go (for other reasons not related to the topic). I have a life! You can’t judge someone from what they post in an internet forum. To do that is…well…you just can’t do it, correctly at least.

Just got of the phone with one of the REAL people I talk to, almost on a daily basis for my job. He is a member and poster on here also!! And I quote, “You, dami, JHEM, and company make me laugh daily. I don’t blame you for asking newbies to search. I just can’t believe I figured out who you were. So far, I have agreed with you on everything you have posted. Now, about this PO that I need…”

Note the change in topic after about 20 seconds…which proceeded to change again after about 2 minutes of “business talk”, then went back to this board, then off to another subject.

Nope, I don’t talk to “real” people at all or have “real” conversations…
