Old feeder doesn't show up in profile

Hi, I have put back a feeder online which was offline for quite some time. It doesn’t show up in my profile as a site. Can’t reclaim either as when I do so it is listed as claimed. How can I put it back online?

Great news! Your account is associated with the following PiAware receivers and you can view your statistics here:

  1. abd53a3d-8b0b-4803-b657-b45f994c31fe: PiAware (SD Card) 2.1 added Thursday, 14 July 2016 (86.82. / 192.168.2.39)
  2. Site 63946 - c7fd3fae-1a7b-4c7a-9bdf-d8e79b8ac1e7: PiAware (SD Card) 3.8 added Thursday, 14 July 2016 (86.82. / 192.168.2.2)

Use these 2 commands
sudo piaware-config feeder-id xxxxxxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxxxxxxxxxx
sudo systemctl restart piaware

When I type the first command only thing I see is a list of piaware-config options

Is this the device with version 2.1(Almost certainly will not work) or 3.8 (Should work)?

Yes it’s the one with 2.1

I think that you will need to upgrade it first.

You may also be able to do a new install and add the UUID to the new device (If you are allowed to add old UUIDs).

So after all I had set up it as a new feeder and a site was created. It however has taken a bit longer to move the feeder to it’s new location at my brothers place. The site was removed after 30 days. In ‘claim my feeder’ I can see it shows with its new external and internal IP adress. Will a new site be automatically be created? It’s back online for a couple of days now but no site is popping up in my account.

Did you set up the feeder by re-imaging it with the latest PiAware SD card image? If so, then yes a new site has been created and you can claim that one.

Yes and I have claimed that site, but as the feeder has been offline for more than 30 days it’s gone now

If you’re still using the old feeder ID, the old site should reappear once it is feeding data again.

If you’re using a new feeder ID, you need to claim the new site.

I tried using old feeder id for a station dead for many months. The feeder id was accepted, but station was assigned a new station number.

If not feeding for over 30 days, the the feeder-id survives, but the station-number does not survive.

Sorry, yes, I was imprecise in my description. My point was that you don’t need to re-claim the feeder.
