Nascar Airplanes

if I was kyle I would think about a demo on a citation x or maby a gulfstream this weekend. that’s gonna be a heck of a lot of time in an airplane.

it appears you are right, G4 N472QS flew from AVP to AFW. Sprint cup to trucks. Leg 1 down, 2 races 2 cities to go!!!

Best guess on leg 2 for kyle is a Galaxy or Cit X. Both “QS” from avp to mqy.

Looks like there is a netjets citation X on the way back to AVP from MQY so that has to be him. How does that deal work does he just pay a little more for an upgrade on the airplane he charters or what?

For sure a Cit X from the pre race video coverage. Definately got the Marquis Jet name in there.

Found it interesting that Carl made the trip on Friday back and forth in his plane, but did not on Sat. Maybe flew on the boss’s or even team mate Biffle.

There are a few aircraft that are flying to alot of the races that have not been figured out. Was wondering if anyone had any info on them, sponsors, driver, owners, just some lucky race fans traveling to all the races, leased?

N994JR- went to all 3 races this weekend.
N815CE - attends alot of races.
N901CR - been to a few races recently

Jack Roush will perform the flyover at Michigan Speedway in a P-51 Mustang, along side him will be friends, flying T-6’s.

Jack’s Premier 1

In-flight over Reno

does anyone know if Scott Pruett or Boris Said have their own planes?

Mark Martin has a new LLC in NC called MME-CJ4 LLC

Wonder if the CJ3 is a temporary thing until he can get a 4?

N968CM is newly delivered C510. Flew to SVH, with a couple of what seems training flights then down to DAB. Maybe a new one for a driver?

A couple of new updates on the NASCAR (Real Air Leasing ) front.

The new Hawker 900 that was originally reg N300R, then switched to N330R is now N100R. With N300R being reserved for future use.

Also N502N which was under the “Twin Palms c/o Wilson Air” is now registered to Real Air.

A G-150 N950N registered to Twin Palms.

And Lastly I am thinking that N302CJ has been sold. It has not hit any of Mark’s airports in a while. But N6M has not flown yet. Wonder what he is using in the interim.

Dont forget that Mark Martin is only a part time driver and his plane doesn’t fly every week. He may have flown to this most recent race in Daytona with his team.

Martin is also from Arkansas, which is where the plane has been flying alot!

He also has an Eclipse doesn’t he…

N500MM, I believe that someone else said it was for his dealership. It doesn’t appear the Eclipse has been to any racing stops.

Edit - As I typed that I went and looked at the flight page for N500MM and it now shows registration pending. Is this on the move?

Yes your right we did talk about this before. What is interesting on the FAA site it has “Cert Terminated”. If I remember correctly that plane did fly to Eldora when Mark raced there for Tony’s dirt race, but so did N302CJ.

The recent history of N302CJ does not take it to either BVX, or 7FL6 since June 8. These are Mark’s two home airports. Nor has it hit any race city airports. It appears to be based out of LIT and did a few trips to TEB.

There is a CJ N665CJ that is flying from DAB to JQF this morning which somewhat coincides with with the weekly team meetings. Being the race was in Daytona this weekend and Mark’s primary home is there this might be a rented, charted, or borrowed aircraft. But just a guess.

does anyone know what type of airplane Stewart has? i am not in tune with the types of jets and only see people use 4 letter/number codes for the types. can some please tell me the name and the code for his plane. i know his tail number, just want to know what kind of plane he has?

Thanks

Enter the tail number into the flight/tail #: box to the left and, if the aircraft is not blocked, it will show you the type of aircraft. If it is blocked, you can go to the FAA aircraft registry to look it up.

the FAA says its a Cessna Model 550. what would the 4 digit/letter code be for this plane?
