Multi-Engine Rating in WRN PA

Was curious to see if there are any other “yinzers” out there with suggestions or advice on obtaining a multi-engine rating in the WRN PA area? Several of the well known solutions are in “maintenance” currently. Was trying to get Commercial & Multi same day. Both local DPE’s Senecas are tied up.

Feel free to email with any thoughts and/or suggestions.

How far are you willing to travel? Willing to spend one night away?

I’m not sure I follow. Are you saying you’re trying to get your Inital Commercial done in a Multi?

Humph. I completely skipped over that and focused on the multi rating.

Could be planning to do his commercial and multi ride on the same flight. Not necessarily a bad idea, but you won’t be able to fly a single engine for pay. Or maybe he’s a glutton and is planning to take his commercial ride in a single and then his multi ride later that day. A much better way to go in my opinion. Why limit yourself on your commercial certificate?

It’s a couple hour drive but Dunkirk Aviation in Dunkirk, NY (1/2 between Erie and Buffalo right on the lake).

They have a Dutches and the owner Louie Nalbone is a DE. I worked there in the late 90’s and we did what you’re asking for all the time. You might try Marty Hasky in New Castle.

PM me if you have any questions. I also did all my training at Beaver County, checks with Marty, and worked for Louie

Precisely the goal…yes I am a glutton.

As long as the examiner isn’t prone to 4 hour orals, you should be fine!
