I don’t know if something has been changed, but my Safari and Chrome browsers are often detected as mobile devices. That’s sort of OK, but in addition to that, when I click on the link to go to the non-mobile site I get redirected back to the mobile site. Weeks ago when this happened, the non-mobile link (or just a refresh) might take me to the non-mobile site, but now I have to resort to changing my user-agent. This isn’t too big of a problem for me (more of a minor annoyance), but I could imagine some non-technical folks being quite confused.
It used to always go to the mobile site. I have cleared the cache and cookies to see if that would work, but it didn’t.
The user agent data is below:
Browser is Mozilla/5.0(Android 2.3.3)
It does say it is a mobile device, but still directs me to the full site. Not a big issue, other than it triggers a warning about vector rendering being unsupported.
I’ve started seeing the mis-detection again w/ Safari on a couple of machines. The link to the non-mobile site works, though, so it’s less of an issue than before, but I thought I’d report it. I don’t think my user-agents have changed.
