please help…
I recently restored my PC. It’s running WinXP and I have installed
just about everything I can think of… but I cannot see the tracker
map no matter what I tried…
for example, I’ll use UA flight #1…
flightaware.com/live/flight/UAL1
there’s only a dark blue rectangle where the map is supposed to be…
however, on my old laptop computer, I can see it just fine…
(also running WinXP)
any advice apperciated!

You don’t say what browser you are using but if you are using MSIE 8.0, see discussions.flightaware.com/view … 9538#89538 for possible solution.
I just found out why the map washing showing…
I changed the “Encoding” from “Western European(Windows”
to “Western European(ISO)” and the map showed up.
Not really sure why font enconding has to do with the map, but
at least now I can see the maps just fine…
