Helmet cam - strapped to B747 nose gear . video . . .

Click Here Youtube posting, rumored to be MK Airlines or ???

Cool video, why was the nose gear lowered so far in advance of the mains? Didn’t know they could do that, thought they all came down at once.

Apparently the nose gear can be lowered independently.

Nevermind…

Cool Video…good find Robb…I wondered about that myself (about the mains as deef pointed out) I figured they pulled the breakers maybe. Thanks for the education…learned something new.

That’s great! Never knew the nose gear could be extended before the mains…

I like the landing… Very cool!

Is this a 747?

Video says its an Air France A380.

While taxiing you can see an Air France A380 in the background, the title appears and says, ‘Air France A380’.

Aircraft is a MK Airlines B747-200.

According to that the body trucks should have come down with the nose.

The Landing Gear consists of four main gear trucks, consisting of two body gear and two wing gear, each with four wheels and a nose gear with two wheels. Hydraulic power for normal Landing Gear operation is supplied by two independent sources, system 1 for the nose and body gear and system 4 for the wing gear.

The G1 has speedbrakes, they are the main gear. Separate handle, if you use them and then put the gear down the speedbrake handle retracts automatically. If you use them and don’t lower the gear it takes full power to taxi to the FBO.

How Unprofessional! :smiling_imp:

But seriously, that was one of the coolest videos I have ever seen, Thanks for sharing!!

The buttons next to the gear handle are mark Nose/Body and Wing to manually drop gear(. Hmmmmm… However it works, it’s a good thing they didn’t forget to drop the mains, or that video would have been really entertaining. :smiling_imp:

Too low, gear! Too low, gear! Pull up! Pull up!

it’s a good thing they didn’t forget to drop the mains, or that video would have been really entertaining.

Very neat video! Great find!

LMAO

Isn’t that the same view the stowaway had for the first part of his journey?

+1

And now the moment we’ve all been waiting for!
