Flyboys letter to Delta (punks)

Regardless of what it says- I gave them money and I get nothing in return. so many people just don’t understand that concept.

give someone money and get nothing in return and see how you feel- Also don’t blast people with “That’s childish” it’s rude and very uncool. I don’t know you and I wouldn’t blast like that- it’s just rude

You did get something, a reserved seat on a flight that you chose not to ride in at the last minute.

If Delta is gonna have a nonrefundable deal, they need to guarantee you get on a flight! That’s just a way to get money in their pocket…

It’s childish to say someone is childish!

I hardly call a 4 day notice a last minute change.

Fly…as much as i agree with the principle bro…I have to side with the majority on this one. Sucks? Absolutlely. Just be thankful 75 bucks was all you lost. And not a 2,3 or 400 dollar ticket.

You’re throwing soft balls!

After Delta had a series of unfortunate events about 15 years ago, Jay Leno said their slogan should be “Delta, we get you there, don’t ask any questions”.

I was at a REM concert in Seattle and the Georgia based band members had flown out on Delta that day. Michael Stipe spent about a half hour ripping Delta apart and incorporated hand gestures and references to their crappy service into his songs.

You’re throwing soft balls!

I’ll make sure one hits you…

Delta Loses Traveler’s Pet

The Dog Was Traveling From Mexico To Canada With Its New Owners

It’s traumatic enough when an airline loses your luggage, but something else entirely when the lost item is a Jack Russell terrier mix on his way to a new home. But that’s what happened to Paco, who was on a Delta flight with his new owners on their way home from Mexico to Canada.

Josiah Allen and his girlfriend last saw Paco in Mexico City on a five-hour layover between flights. They had spent considerable time, money, and effort in getting the dog his shots and papers to enable him to make the international flights. But somewhere between Mexico City and Detroit, Paco vanished.

The blog Dogster writes that Delta told Allen that Paco had not made the flight, but was being cared for by Delta employees and would be delivered to Ontario, where Allen lives, the next day. But when Paco still didn’t show up, Delta told Allen that he had accidentally escaped the day before, and that was why he had gone missing in the first place.

Allen says it would have been very difficult for Paco to “escape” from the carrier in which he was being transported. He also wonders why he was told Paco was safe and sound if that wasn’t the case.

Delta has reimbursed Allen the cost of Paco’s transportation, and offered to pay for the shots he got in Mexico. But for now, Paco remains a missing pooch.

Any bets PACO is now actually a pet of one of the employee’s.

What kind of sauce would you use with a terrier… :smiling_imp:

Black bean, same as with a Doberman.

Your fattier breeds are best served in a wine reduction sauce with a bit of truffle.

I would bet you are able to get credit for your $75 fare. However, the change fee (which I think is $150 on DL) wipes that out, and so you’re better off just dumping the ticket.

As someone else pointed out, you’re original fare was low because you essentially gambled that you would not have to change it.

I don’t know how many airlines do it but if you cancel your ticket by 11 pm the next day, Delta will give you a full refund. But I assume it’s too late for that.

American will let you use the money towards another ticket anytime in the next 12 months, hidden in the fine print of course. Maybe Delta is the same.

there is a $150 change fee. I’m F-ed I have let it pass and I have moved on with my life all be it an injustice

Did you try getting credit on your Sky Miles points in exchange for it??
