I am making SearchBirdseyeInFlight requests using ident = tailnumber it returns “error”: “NO_DATA no data available” for some planes even though on FlightAware’s website there is clearly data for those planes. Other planes successfully return data. Show position-only flights is activated.

Keep in mind that SearchBirdseyeInFlight and SearchBirdseyePositions will only return flights that have occurred within approximately the last 24 hours or so.
Additionally, it will only return flights operating under an IFR flight plan, unless you have previously opted-in to receiving “position-only” flights via the account management page.
