Thanks for the update! We’ve been getting lots of media attention lately with the Nike jet incident, the AAL incident yesterday, and now this Southwest accident.
For a flight tracking provider to disseminate information on flights involved in an accident is a very big no no to the FAA (read the MOA). Please don’t ruin it for the rest of us.
We request that you do the same and while you’re reading that, view our terms of use. I also respectfully request that you do not make false accusations, especially in a public forum. Please recognize that FlightAware is the most popular flight tracking service, is a highly respected member of the aviation community, and is fully aware of our obligations, agreements, and commitments.
We are providing a valuable service to hundreds of thousands of individuals, many of whom are government employees, and we certainly understand our position as a valuable observation resource that is never used for in-flight navigation or operational decision making.
Welcome to FlightAware.
Like what info…all the info I got on CNN and what will be on the NTSB website in a bit?
Someone must be smarting at the success of FlightAware. Guess who yofsdo works for?

That’s super! But like I said, just don’t mess it up for everyone and please be wary. The last thing we need is an annoyed Senator with a bug up his ass to take away flight tracking for everyone. It’s come close to happening before, so just realize that that’s the way it goes. And try not to take my comments so personally.

I don’t know what the story is here or if there even is a story but the consensus seems to be that you’re some kind of competitor to Flight Aware or whatever who is trying to defame them after lots of publicity. Trying to claim that you’re just trying to help or whatever is insane, a normal person would just e-mail or call the people at FA if you actually wanted to talk. I think your real intention is clear and the fact is that it makes you look silly and spiteful.

She sure didn’t age well.
