Picked this up while reading The Age yesterday. Good read, but it’s more of the band’s documentary than one about the plane; sounds good nonetheless. I hope that the movie gets more play around the world.

I remember my first solo in a glider when I was 15…I sang Tailgunner at the top of my lungs all the way up. Thank god it was a solo.
LOL! Was it supposed to be a solo? Or did your instructor, hearing you sing, decide to bail out?
haha yeah it was intended to be a solo, BUT, surely if he’d have been with me during my in tow concert, the spoilers would’ve been deployed and the side slip initiated to the nearest farm road for sure.
Of course this was the same guy who was about 4ft 8, and everytime we’d hit a thermal, in his somewhat high pitch voice would yelp WEEE!
Those were fun times!!
