DPD Productions vs Flightaware antennas (both 978 and 1090)

Hi Folks,

Somebody may have given a reliable review in the past, but I’m wondering if there is anyone out there who has used (and compared) the 1090 MHz and/or 978 MHz versions of the DPD Productions and Flightaware antennas.

DPD Productions Standard 1090 MHz ES ( $149 )
DPD Productions 978 MHz UAT ( $149 )

FlightAware 1090 MHz ADS-B Antenna ( $39.95 on Amazon)
FlightAware 978 MHz ADS-B Antenna ( $40.95 on Amazon)

I currently am only monitoring 1090 Mhz. I have used the DPD Productions 1090 antenna for years and it seems to work great.

But I’d really like to hear from somebody who has used both the DPD and the Flightaware antennas for each band, and find out which one performs better for them.

I have both DPD antennas with my setup. They have been working well for several years.
They work well. I can’t tell if they are worth triple the price of the FA Antennas. The DPD antennas are still sealed well.

I have seen reports with sealing problems on FA antennas. I no longer have the the FA antennas outside so I can’t comment personally(they are in my attic and bedroom).
