Diamond Star DA40 question

My FBO lists the DA40 as a “technically advanced” aircraft.

Any idea what that means?

It’s not high performance or complex because its engine’s max hp is only 180, and it has a fixed landing gear.
It’s equipped with Garmin 1000, but other aircrafts in their fleet with Garmin 1000 aren’t “technically advanced”

By FAA pronouncement,
a TAA is equipped with at least:
a) a moving-map display
b) an IFR-approved GPS navigator
c) an autopilot.

From AOPA.

thanks

I’m a TAA and didn’t even know it!
