Is my pi or dongle dead? Was working great for months.
There is an old thread from back in 2020. But, I don’t know what the person did.

Might help us if we could learn a bit about your system. Perhaps describe your hardware from the antenna/cable/receiver/pi/power supply and connection to the internet. Do you have Graphs1090 installed? I could use a Coach - #20 by tomvdhorst
This will give us a place to start. Receiver dongles can go bad, but power supply devices often cause more problems. Do the Pi lights come on? Red steady, yellow flickering at intervals? Red says power is available though might be inadequate, yellow is generally writing to the SD card for something.
What Software are you using? A raspian os with piaware/dump1090 separately installed? Or perhaps a FlightAware image burned to the MicroSD card? This should give us a good place to start helping.
Best Wishes.
As above, you post is a bit lean on details for a decent diagnosis, but essentially your Pi is saying it’s not receiving anything from the dongle (it’s not red, indicating the Pi can’t see the dongle).
I’d pull the SD card and build a virgin install on a new card and see what that looks like
I have it working again! It was the MicroSD card. I checked the Flightaware antenna, LMR-200 cable, Flight aware dongle and Pi power supply.
I pulled the SD card and cleaned the contacts with a #2 pencil eraser. Old trick from the IBM days. Works like a champ once again.
Cheers,
