Try two simple things:

  1. Try after rebootig Pj
  2. Try another Browser

That worked! I didn’t change browesers but those last updates. That allowed the 1090 extension to work. Any idea on why using port 8080 isn’t working? Not a big deal since we got at least one map to work.

.
Seems Browser related.
Try several browsers (Firefox, Google Chrome, Internet Explorer, Safari etc), and see how each behaves on these addresses.
ip-of-pi
ip-of-pi:80
ip-of-pi:8080
ip-of-pi/dump1090/

.

.
Just out of curiosity, which guide/method you have followed to install dump1090-mutability v 1.15~dev?

Try this:

(1) Open file /etc/default/dump1090-mutability for editing

sudo nano /etc/default/dump1090-mutability

.
(2) In the file opened, scroll down to this text

# Bind ports on a particular address. If unset, binds to all interfaces.
# This defaults to binding to localhost. If you need to allow remote
# connections, change this.
NET_BIND_ADDRESS="127.0.0.1"

#
# Misc options
#

.
(3) In line NET_BIND_ADDRESS=“127.0.0.1” , delete 127.0.0.1 (leave quotes “”).
The line will now be like below:

NET_BIND_ADDRESS=""

(4) Save (Ctrl+o) and Close (Ctrl+x)

.
(5) Restart dump1090-mutability

sudo systemctl restart dump1090-mutability

.
(6) Open browser, type ip-of-pi:8080, clear cache (Ctrl+Shift+Delete) and Reload (Ctrl+F5).

And I’ve done some playing with this router. When I have my network inspection at normal it won’t allow the connection to dump1090. When I turn it off I can connect to it. And it’s the same for all of my devices, I might be having to change the router out. I’ll run those last comands when i get home later tonight and see what they pull. Apologies for being slow, got locked out on reply’s cause I’m new.

So I ran through it all, it seems to be the router. I don’t need to get into those ports now that I have dump1090 working. Thank you very much for all of your help.

I am running Flight Feeder. No airplanes visible on skyview.
Am tracking and reporting - however - at about half usual level.
About a dozen uplink blackouts in last several days.
