While I really do understand the need for ads for support of this site, is there anyway we can keep the annoying flashing shopzilla ads off the large maps.
For that matter, any flashing ads off the website…
This makes my previous yellow on blue map scale suggestion appear to be a very subtle change.

Well my guess is that unless you want flight aware to cost money, to just deal with it.
I don’t believe that they actually flash/blink – some of the Shopzilla ads are animated but only for 3 or 4 seconds. We actively work on ensuring that the advertisements aren’t inappropriate, overly intrusive, obnoxious, or irrelevant. This one passes my litmus test and there’s some truth to Boeing7475500’s comment; the advertisers do support the site.
As stated in my original post “While I really do understand the need for ads for support of this site”.
Be assured, Shopzilla won’t get my click. Animated gifs are obnoxious and certainly don’t belong on a quality site like this.
