I know its a mixup with the airline codes between American and Cape Air that operates a Cessna 182 between St. Louis Lambert and Cape Girardeau, but still found it funny.
American and Cape Air code share, that is, Cape Air flights also have an American Airlines flight number assigned for passenger use. The flight itself is operated under the Cape Air certificate, and uses the Cape Air call sign and flight number.
This issue has been resolved and the bogus mainline flights no longer appear.
