I recently noticed when viewing a flight, the aircraft’s registration (tail) number is no longer displaying next to the flight number. It used to appear along with “where’s my airplane”.

Do you mean this numbers?
That works for me. If it’s for particular flights/aircraft, the owner might have requested to remove the tail number from the FA database
