Scheduled to land at Kennedy Space Center tomorrow (May 20). It’s delivering a European module (Tranquility, Node 3) for the International Space Station, for launch on a shuttle launch next February (STS-130).
Original media announcement.
Cancellation announcement today.
I don’t think they canceled the delivery, just the media event. So I figure they’ll go through with the flight and land at KSC as planned, pending weather delays.
I haven’t found it yet on FA tracking, but maybe I’m not doing it right. Since its range under load seems to be about 2500 nm, I figured it might have entered US/Canadian airspace by now. The Tranquility module is less than a third of its max load, so maybe it can go farther. I think its tail number could be F-GSTA, F-GSTB, F-GSTC, F-GSTD, or F-GSTF – assuming I’m picking out the right tidbits from Airliners.net
If somebody gets to see it, let us know.
