A380 at SFO

Did anyone see the new airbus landing or taking off from SFO yesterday or today? I saw it land, yesterday morning around 9:30, but didn’t get to see it fly over San Francisco today.
oh, and does anyone know why they filled the body with water for weights (taking the place of passengers) instead of something else?

Mark, can we combine with this thread?

What would you suppose they used for weights? Water is easy. You can pump it in there easily, you can empty it easily, it’s clean, it’s stable, and it’s heavy. It’s not like they can drive a forklift of sandbags in there.

Almost exactly the same question my girlfriend asked and

almost the exact answer I gave her.
