A small request from me

This is a very minor detail but would it be possible to set up the home page so that the cursor is already waiting in the “Flight/Tail #” box please?

When you’re a big user like me it becomes a bit of a chore to be constantly moving the mouse about to manually put the cursor there.

Like I say, very minor detail but would be really useful.

I await my flaming for laziness …

Or to have the cursor in the Login box when the page appears. For what I pay for this service, it’s the least they could do!

If you use Firefox you could create a QuickSearch for that box, so you can type something like “f BOE123” in the address bar and it will take you to flightaware.com/live/flight/BOE123

I’d demand a refund!

Can you create something for IE please? I don’t use (nor like) Firefox.

(and please, no Firefox/IE fanboy replies :unamused: )

What mduell is referring to is built into Firefox. It’s not something they did for Firefox.

am withholding comments re which is the better browser…

Hitting tab once or twice will probably get you there too.

hitting the tab twice is all I need to do to get there…but I am two-handed surfer, so it doesn’t slow me much…

There’s a lot of people out there in the world - MANY of them here in my own office - who think the only way to navigate on a computer is via a mouse. It would behoove those who use a mouse exclusively to actually do some research on keyboard shortcuts. It will save you time and make you more efficient using the computer.

Like Tim, I use th keyboard just as much as I do the mouse.

Gawd, it scares me how much David and I agree on things these days…TC

You’ve seen the light!

DAMNIT!! Will you quit doing that? Everytime you agree with David, it gets freaking cold here (Tulsa) and this morning, the ground was literally frozen!

So that’s what it is! FAWHQ didn’t get above 3C today.

It’s now snowing in Houston… which prompts an awful lot of SPECIs:

It was 66F here today, flood warning due to rain for tomorrow.

We had two inches of snow last week.
