A Pair of Cessna 172's crossing North Atlantic

A couple of C-172 crossing the North Atlantic today. Departed Goose Bay (CYYR) with distination of Reykjavik (BIRK). They are about 6 minutes apart and at different altitudes. Now east of Greenland.

Interesting, from over three years ago.

I came from the hotel one morning in Reykjavik just in time to see some poor schmu…uh…intrepid aviator climbing into an immersion suit to continue his voyage in a Cherokee. Looked like plenty of fuel in the back seat too. Or he was a terrorist that we never heard from again.
