Is it really too hard for you to copy and paste the address/link to the flight???
Ill be nice and help
That was really nice. Thank you, w7psk.
They were involved in an “in cockpit discussion” and they forgot what they were doing. Sure hope they made it - as of me typing this, it’s got no recent position.
You know you’re going to Hell, right?
Iceberg! Right ahead!
Well, why do we have track data from the pond section anyway?
Obviously the A/C sends its position data.
However, this does not seem to be common, is it?
the flight plan does not show their little deviation.
Hi PointedNose,
excuse me, but please contribute with regard to the content.
(It is a weird lazyness: Having the time to write a whole line (!), but not being able to type klm757 into the window on the left.
Many people claiming that they are so busy have time enough to complain about the very fact.
If it is a kind of ‘standard’ to paste the flight’s link, please advise next time instead of placing such stroppy comments. Thanx in advance. )
Do you know why fa got the position data from this flight without radar surveillance while crossing the Pond?
Have fun!
Pecker
Pecker,
The reason you would want to include the permalink is so that it will reference the exact flight, not just the latest version of KLM575.
After a few months it will disappear from the list.
I’m sure that is what needle was refering to.
Got it,
however, I prefer a polite form.
Again, do we know why have the position data at all?
There is no radar surveillance
however, I prefer a polite form.
I don’t think you’ll get that here…
FA gets the data from the big FAA ATC computer in the sky which, in the case of pond crossings, is either generated by old fashioned position reports or the new fangled data link reports. Which is why I pointed out earlier the filed flight plan does not include their little sight seeing trip.
Comparing the track log to the flight plan it appears that at 40W there is an error. The flight plan says they wanted to be at 46N where the track log shows 56N. Probably an input error at Gander radio that was relayed to ATC, no doubt corrected right away but by then FA had the erroneous data.
Now, now. We’re not here to offend. We must all be polite and aware of teh great diversity here. We must all be touchy feely here. Let’s not forget to sing *Kumbaya *before logging so we can get that nice touchy feely feeling.
Come on guys, can’t we just all get along?
Is today April 1?
Close enough.
You gotta go to Joel Osteen’s Church before you get that feeling, dami…
Did you know it’s across the street from FlightAware’s office?
It’s where bad FA employees are sent for a timeout…
