I have a RPI3 running Piaware and connected to a GSM shield, its rated for around 40kbps as its an IoT SIM. Will this be enough for data transfer? I checked my stats and it says my feeder checked in a few seconds ago, not sure it it dropped any packets in the interim.
It will be enough for regular ADS-B reporting; it may not be enough for mlat if you’re in a busier area (but mlat traffic is UDP, so hopefully that gets dropped first)
Dropped mlat traffic will be reported in piaware.log if it’s significant (>25% is the reporting threshold from memory)
