Накануне сообщения Ryanair об отмене планов состоялась резонансная пресс-конференция главы аэропорта Борисполь Павла Рябикина, на которой он рассказал, почему не удалось договориться с компанией.
Рябикин заявил, что лоукостер требует от Борисполя бесплатных стоек регистрации, стоянок для такси, площадей для рекламы, земли для строительства отеля, офиса для продажи билетов, выплаты 35 процентов от доходов магазинов duty free и еще десяток различных преференций.
“Мой потенциал для принятия компромиссного решения исчерпан, а Ryanair тоже на компромиссы идти не хочет”, - сказал Рябикин.

Ryabikin said that Ryanair requires Boryspil free check-in desks, parking for taxi, advertising space, land for hotel construction, an office for ticket sales, payment of 35 percent of the income of duty free shops and a dozen different preferences.
“My potential for making a compromise solution is exhausted, and Ryanair also does not want to compromise,” Ryabikin said.

Рябкин пояснил, что многие требования лоукостера расходятся с украинским законодательством, а скидку на рейс в Лондон Борисполь не может предоставить скидку, поскольку такое направление уже существует.
Директор Борисполя подчеркнул, что договор с Ryanair Украине не выгоден и заявил о политическом давлении.
По подсчетам руководства аэропорта, подписание варианта соглашения, на котором настаивал Ryanair, принесло бы аэропорту ежегодные потери около двух миллиардов гривен.
The airport and Ryanair could not agree on the amount of the discount for flights, the terms of its validity, the procedure for calculating the passenger fee on this route.
Ryabkin explained that many of the requirements of Ryanair disagree with Ukrainian legislation, and the discount on the flight to London Borispol can not provide a discount, since this direction already exists.
The director of Boryspil stressed that the agreement with Ryanair to Ukraine is not profitable and declared political pressure.
According to the calculations of the airport management, signing the version of the agreement on which Ryanair insisted would bring the airport an annual loss of about two billion hryvnia.
