Weighted ranking?

So the current 30 day ranking system appears to be quite simple - how many planes did you provide position data on in the past 30 days.

I would like to propose a weighting system whereby the number of seen planes is divided by the number of feeding stations with 100km/60miles.

Not sure how much value the 1 millionth feeder in Houston, Tx provides, compared to the loner in the middle of Wheretheheckistan.

Thoughts?

I agree that a stock dongle 5m from JFK can beat a seriously technically equipped station in flyover country. I choose to know that my station situated 5m from JFK would put the current placeholder to shame. Conversely, that stock antenna station would fail miserably in my current location.

It’s all good. We do what we can…
