Usb problem

i have a raspberry pi 3a + connected to two nooelec dongles through a usb hub. The problem is that only one dongle is recognized as a device and running lsusb results in this:
Bus 001 Device 003: ID 0bda: 2838 Realtek Semiconductor Corp. RTL2838 DVB-T Bus 001 Device 002: ID 0b from: 5411 Realtek Semiconductor Corp. Bus 001 Device 001: ID 1d6b: 0002 Linux Foundation 2.0 root hub

Uncommon!

Do they both work individually if you plug in only one at a time?
The lsusb output seems a bit mangled.

yes, they work individually. It also seems really strange to me, I have no ideas.
I also tried to connect them with the same hub to a raspberry pi 4, and they both work simultaneously

Insufficient power on the 3A … probably an non-powered hub?

that’s what I thought too, but I hope it’s a software problem
How much does a nooelec dongle consume?

The FA prosticks take around 300mA each. I expect a nooelec to be maybe a little less (no external LNA).

So if you’re trying to power two off a single port which is nominally 500mA …

I wouldn’t even expect that to be the issue.

My guess is just a bad power supply being used for the RPi.

You could always use a powered USB hub to solve the issue.

you think it could be that they need to be serialized?
