US Airways 564 on October 22nd

When I was going to the NBAA show last Thursday, I checked Flightaware before I left and noticed a US Airways flight supposedly operated by an A300 coming into Orlando Executive.

This is the flight in question.

Turns out that there was an unexpected plane, but it was a Sky King 737-200 (still pleasing nonetheless).

Why did the site make such an unusual error? Or was the Sky King flight listed elsewhere? And if so, was there really an A300 or a US Airways plane at NBAA 2009 that I didn’t know about?

Maybe something was wrong with the A300, and they used a 737???

Something definitely strange happened as US Airways has no A300’s and I don’t think they ever did, and also have no idea why they would divert to ORL when MCO (564’s normal destination) is so close. You can still find the flight on the arrival side of ORL but you when you click on it, it says it can’t be found. Don’t know.

Oh yea, they don’t use A300’s. I was getting it mixed up with the Airbus 330… Don’t know…

When I look at the flight’s history, it shows that flight 564 landed as normal at MCO that day, and below it is the unusual flight.

Appears erroneous, no idea on the cause.

There was no US Airways plane at NBAA … The only airbus i saw was the A319 Elite corporate jet , unless the US Airways plane was at another ramp. It also could have been a diverted flight…
