That’s exciting activity for Wilmington. Is that odd “jump” off the Carolinas a glitch? The triangle-shaped bit of flight track with the line in the center?
A New Hanover 911 dispatcher said the aircraft landed at 10:17 p.m. at ILM.
Meanwhile, the 331 passengers and 18 crew members on board were leaving the aircraft about 1:20 a.m.
3 hours on the plane after it landed…
Crew was undecided whether to divert or continue the flight - changed their minds several times.
DAL1690 (KATL to KBDL) diverted to KRDU today. Reported smoke in the cabin.
Somewhat O/T – I thought there might be a “Flight Crew” dedicated to ‘diversions’ that I could join. However, I can’t find any FA list of open ‘flight crews’. A discussion search of “flight crew” has about a zillion results. Can anyone point me in a suitable direction?
PDT4551 (KABE to KPHL) could not lower its landing gear on approach to Philadelphia. While not a ‘diversion’, the flight map shows that passengers saw lots of countryside before the final approach.
They certainly got their money’s worth for a scheduled 13 minute flight. (I’ve flown it several times). Although the Dash-8 is kinda noisy at least you get to see the main gear come down because they’re right outside your window. Nose gear not so much.
The cool thing about this track is you can see the tower fly by.
YYJ has been very foggy in the mornings and evenings the past several days and that has caused numerous cancellations and delays.
Last night WJA197, WJA463 and JZA557 all diverted to YVR after several attempts to land at YYJ. In addition to the diverted flights, both the WJA and QXE RONs have cancelled twice in a row (the 16th and the 17th), costing both companies a pile of $$$. With any luck things will get better in the next couple days!

JBU1419 (KBOS to KJAX) diverted back to Boston this morning with reported hydraulic problems. Quite a flight track!
We’re taking SEA and BFI planes right now.

YYJ was socked in with fog all day today. Our QXE Head Start flight managed to get out at 0600 local, but 382/83, 384/85, and 386/87 all had to cancel and return to SEA (however, 384 did divert to BLI). Luckily 388/89 did manage to get in and out. Other then that JZA had a few diversions (returns) to YVR and WJA flights did a lot of holding!
nice looking airport, CYYJ.

Tried KBWI first no dice on to KIAD.
UPS9787 started on it’s way to ANC from BFI, but ended up turning around and heading to SDF instead.
FEDEX 9049 is having fun this afternoon! Could be just a test flight.
Anybody know about Redwood 5810 today? It went to toledo with no noticable WX.
YVR was hit hard by snow tonight (so I’m told) so YYJ got quite a few diversions.

ACA161
I was lucky enough to be working tonight and boy was it interesting. Every available parking space on the ramp was taken and Runway 31 was turned into a parking lot. WJA8300, ACA161, and JZA419 ended up spending several hours sitting out on the runway before they had room to move (WJA8300 and ACA161 went directly back to YVR, JZA419 came to the terminal). ACA555 parked itself on the East ramp before it ended up heading back to YVR roughly 3 hours after it landed. Luckily here in YYJ it wasn’t snowing but was pouring rain.
