Southwest unvailed it’s newest specialty plane today at LGA. The aircraft will have a very nice picture of the SI swimsuit edition cover model. Saw a picture of it today but haven’t been able to find one to post here…SORRY
That is amusing…SWA often hassles female passengers about their apparel not being appropriate for a “family airline”. Glad to see they’ve loosened their dress code!
There have been a few that I recall, but it is quite ironic they would put a 90% or better naked woman on the outside, but they won’t let her inside. Too funny.
Damiross-There have been several instances of women being hassled by SWA, but I didn’t want to bore you with an endless series of links to photos of inappropriately clad females!
What I was trying to point out is that one - or even a few - does not translate into “often.” Southwest, like any major corporation, will always have a very small percentage of customers who are upset at them because they think they were harassed based solely on their gender or race.
Therein lies the problem. No, not you flying to Stapleton on them but the fact that they flew to Stapleton. They started out with a hub in Colorado Springs (COS). In fact, they even had a terminal built or remodeled for them. They were doing good. Then management had a very stupid idea of transferring the hub to DEN where they were assured of being blown out of the sky by United.
COS is close enough to Denver that they could draw passengers from there to COS with their lower fares. But, nooooo, the idiotic management wanted them to fly directly out of Stapleton. What maroons. And that management probably was rewarded with their stupidity by becoming management at another company, probably another airline.
Come to think of it, I did fly to COS as well. Flew TWA from JFK to DEN. It was a while ago, but COS was Ok for my destination which was Highlands Ranch, CO. South of 470. But COS is really not a valid alternate to DEN for most locations. Although, between DEN and COS you can really boogie on I25, talkin triple digits.
