Sun Country Transatlantic. Why?

Some see planes on long flights and say “Why?”.

I see planes on long flights and say, “Why Not?”

It’s a regular scheduled flight for them now. Somebody posted on another board that part of the reason for starting this service was to satisfy the Department of Defense’s requirement of 1 year of ETOPS experience after certification before being able to do DOD military charters overseas. After that, look for them to find a couple widebodies.

Would be nice if they still had a few DC-10’s,

several airlines operated 737s across the oceans. many are military flights like miami air but some are commercial like air pacific

Sun Country also has some leasing agreements with Transavia. It could be a ferry for that.

It is a scheduled service. They added service to London a month ago.
