They dead head this airplane all the way back to Singapore, crazy. You would think they could swap it out with another aircraft already in the states that needs maintenance.
not crazy. the aircraft may not be in the seating that Singapore normally uses, they may want to test the fligtht on the way
if they swap the aircraft with another aircraft that’s already in the states then what do they do with that aircraft?
Yeah I see your point with seat config, but that is a lot of gas to burn for an empty flight. If possible I would think that the airline would coordinate with another aircraft flying into the west coast and swap it out with the one at Victorville, but maybe that just wasn’t possible. Maybe Singapore Airlines has money to burn! Just seems a little crazy to me.
