we plan to fly with wither West Coast Air OR Harbor Air on one of their seaplanes from Van to Vict. Anyone done that? Sounds like a great deal of fun, plus it only takes 30 minutes vs over 4hrs on the BC ferry.
Done it many times, and this time of year it’s very nice. In the winter, not so much.
If it means anything to you HarboUr Air flies single-engined Turbo Otters, West Coast flies Twin Otters. And no security checks 
The ferry is one and a half hours and you can fit your car in there.
Look down when you’re right over YYJ as all the seaplanes fly right above it at 2500ASL.
