Position-only track anomoly

I recently noted a FA track for an N-number I track, that is marked as ‘position-only’, and completely impossible to have occurred. How might this have happened?

Please provide a link to the flight in question.

That flight was tracked solely via radar data provided by the FAA. Notably, that aircraft does seem to be ADS-B equipped but we didn’t hear any ADS-B for that particular flight. The most likely explanation is a data entry error on the FAA side (it was actually some other tail number, but they entered it wrong)

Thanks for getting back to me. Read where we’ll be able to opt out for full reporting with the FAA, which will make things a little less ‘big brother-ish’.
