Hello, i am setting up a Raspberry Pi using the step by step on this web site. I am getting a lot of network act on my Pi. But when i click on the “Claim your PiAware” link i get the message "Unfortunately, FlightAware hasn’t found a new, unclaimed PiAware connection yet from your IP (xx.xxx.xxx.xxx) Either your device has not yet connected (it takes a few minutes to start) or you are on a different IP address.
My Pi and laptop are both on the same LAN going threw the same IP address as my internet provider. I am not sure what maybe causing this issue. I am new doing this Flightaware for the Pi.
It shows me this on the flight aware site. Great news! Your account is associated with the following PiAware receivers and you can view your statistics here:
But when i click on the link it doesn’t show anything. And i get this message. Either we are not receiving ADS-B data from you or you need to register your ADS-B receiver. For more information, view FlightAware’s ADS-B site
PiAware - Claim and Link a Brand New PiAware Ground Station
Unfortunately, FlightAware hasn’t found a new, unclaimed PiAware connection yet from your IP (XX.XXX.XXX.XXX). Either your device has not yet connected (it takes a few minutes to start) or you are on a different IP address.
FlightAware searches for PiAware connections on the same global IP (XX.XXX.XXX.XXX) as your conneciton. If you are on the same LAN as the PiAWare device, then we should be able to find the receiver and claim it for you. You should wait a few minutes after plugging in your PiAware device before expecting it to be connected to FlightAware. Try checking cable connections, waiting a few moments, and trying again.
OK if it says it’s linked, then you don’t have to worry about claiming it anymore. The stats will take 15min to start producing, although I don’t see that you’re connected currently. Can you paste the last few lines of piaware.out?
I had the same problem. I have HughesNet and I have found that on many failed internet… things… that if you disable the Web Acceleration it solves problems. I tried it this time and worked like a charm. I have Gen4 btw.
I also have a similar issue. Says there is PiAware device associated with my account but no statistics. My device is on WiFi and can connect to port 8080 and see tracking information. I restarted, power off and on a couple of times but still nothing.
I also see at the new PiAware sites one which looks like mine based on time and location but it says unclaimed. A new claim doesn’t find a new device.
