PiAware 10.1 nightmare

hi,

I have been a feeder for almost a decade but never been so frustrated with PiAware.

I use a raspberry 4v 2, my sd card crashed (again after 2 years) so I had to reinstall a clean PiAware image. I used 10.1, flashed the image to the sd, edit the piaware-config.txt and also enable ssh, so far so good.

Out of the box and for unknown reasons the boot sequences takes way longer than previous version. After few minutes I was finally able to ssh to the box, the connexion was EXTREMLY slow. Ethernet is enable, the I decided to disconnect the cable and try wifi. Same issue, I decided to be patient and too almost 60 seconds for login and password.
I just wanted to make sure the packages are updated and did an apt-get update then upgrade. Rebooted because there was some issues with 1090 feeder. After the reboot, same: takes forever to boot, seeing the service starting at the bottom left, then randomly restart by itself…

it’s the second time I flash the sdcard and same issue, is it the sd card? Unlikely brand new 128Go sd, I even tried a second sd card.
Due to the boot loop of course I can’t see the logs…

PS: instead of having a big logo during boot would have been great to display verbose boot so we can see details of the boot sequence.

What kind of SD card did you use? Have you tried confirming it’s a good card using another computer?

yup tried 3 sd cards sandisk, kingston. After 10 hours I found out it’s the raspberry problem: either micro sd card reader or power supply. My power supply is an original one. Getting a mini PC fanless, I’m done with raspberry low reliability. Since I feed had issues with genuine sd card, power supply.
Took me forever to see the issue due few logs when booting on PiAware 10.1. I’m also migrating to ADSB.im that allows to feed multiple sites with easy setup.
