oops, question about flight safety and checked bag

I feel like an idiot, I just realized I have checked a bag with loose lithium batteries in it. I’m 30k feet above and it’s too late to do anything about it now.

Do you think TSA confiscated them? I hope so, while fires from them are rare it isn’t worth the risk.

Thank you Rusty - it did. They didn’t even remove them from my checked bag.
